In a recent development, Chennai Express star Deepika Padukone was feeling a little too generous with words regarding Bollywood’s leading lady Katrina Kaif’s bikini stint in Ibiza, which left Katrina a little singed around the corners.
Reports claims that Katrina wants Deepika to keep her ‘words of wisdom’ to herself.
Katrina Kaif was, in the recent past, photographed in a bikini while on vacation in Ibiza, Spain, with her long time boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
After the pictures were splashed across the pages of leading dailies, and online as well, Katrina made her discomfort and disappointment felt with an open letter to the media.
Cut to the present. Deepika, the only actress to touch the Rs.500 crore mark in one year with Chennai Express, felt she owed her rival and ex Ranbir Kapoor’s current girlfriend Katrina advice on how she could’ve countered the problem.
During a press conference, Deepika reportedly, and much publicly, said that if you know you’re a public figure then you need to be careful. Is that so?
Deepika isn’t normally known to shoot from the hip. Could the recent movie success have gotten to her head? Or can this drawing of swords be linked to the fact that Katrina’s dating Deepika’s ex Ranbir Kapoor – who might propose to Katrina on his birthday? Or is this simply a case of good ol’ rivalry considering they’re both in the running for Bollywood’s leading lady – with Katrina fighting to keep the title, and Deepika not far behind?
Interestingly, Deepika headed to Ibiza, too, for a vacation after Katrina and Ranbir were reportedly spotted there.
Katrina Kaif was recently, also, left disoriented this close to signing the contract when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan pulled a few strings and replaced her in an ad deal with a real estate company. She’s been hit twice already within the span of a week. Is there a third? Let’s hope not.
