KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13- Malindo Air, Malaysia’s hybrid airline, is offering 10,000 free seats one-way in conjunction with Malaysia Day this year.
Malindo Air said the free seats are available for flights departing from Kuala Lumpur to Penang; Kuala Lumpur to Johor Baharu; Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi; Johor Baharu to Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta and Bali.
“Our customers need to pay only airport tax and fees of RM39 one-way to all domestic destinations and RM75 one-way to Jakarta and Bali,” it said in a statement today.
Bookings are available from Sept 13-22, 2013, for travel periods from now to Nov 30, 2013.
Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy said the airline was proud to play a part in this year’s Malaysia Day celebration by contributing 10,000 free seats for its customers to ease their travel for the celebration.
“We are also introducing our new daily flights from Johor Baharu to Kota Kinabalu and vice versa, which will commence from Oct 10,” he said in the statement.
He said the frequent flights between Johor Baharu and Kota Kinabalu would provide convenient travel for business and tourism passengers from both Malaysia and Singapore.
Chandran added that passengers are now able to use a wider range of connecting flights, thus saving precious time and travel costs.
For the new flight from Johor Baharu to Kota Kinabalu, Malindo Air is introducing competitive fares, starting from RM99 one-way all-inclusive for economy class and RM499 for business class.
