Sepang, Oct 29 – Malaysia Airlines (MAS) received the Best Airlines award at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) awards at Hotel Sama-Sama, yesterday.
The award which was presented by Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein was for Malaysia Airlines excellent service in the Airline industry since 2012.
Also present were Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi and Malaysia Airports Berhad chairman Tan Seri Dr Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah.
Air Asia received the award for the Best Low Cost Carrier while Indonesia Air Asia swept the best foreign airline award.
The award introduced in 2006 also saw Mandala Airline adjudged as the most potential airline.
The awards night saw 16 winners receive awards in 11 categories according to sectors.
The award presentation by Malaysia Airports Berhad was in appreciation of all agencies, business partners, support from airlines, cooperation towards the success and achievement of KLIA.
