KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 – Papagomo Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris was affirmed by Kuala Lumpur High Court over postings of defamatory words and images against Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
High Court Judicial Commissioner Rosilah Yop ordered Papagomo to pay RM800,000 in damages, including the costs of RM50,000 to anwar.
Anwar filed a RM100-million defamation suit on March 21 last year, claiming that Wan Muhammad Azri had posted defamatory words and videos on the www.papagomo.com website on March 16 and 20.
Wan Muhammad Azri, who was present at the court, continued to deny that he is ‘Papagomo’.
