Katra (Uttar Pradesh), May 31 – A picture made available on 30 May 2014 showing villagers and policemen gathered where two teenage cousins were found hanging from a mango tree in Katra village in Uttar Pradesh, India, 28 May 2014.
Two teenage girls were gang-raped and hanged from a tree in a village in northern India.
The girls, cousins aged 14 and 16, went missing in the Badaun district of northern Uttar Pradesh state late 27 May and their bodies were found hanging from a tree the following day.
Three men including a policeman were arrested in connection with the incident. Another policeman and three more accused were still said to be at large.
