Take one close look at actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and it comes as hardly a surprise that she’s the face for personal care brand ITC Vivel’s latest range of soaps that are infused with almond oil, avacado oil, shea and olive butter, launched in the Capital on Tuesday afternoon.

Dressed in a white sheath dress with nude pumps and a gold necklace, the beautiful Bebo shared with Lifestyle, “I use a lot of almond oil on my skin and I think it makes a world of a difference, whether on the skin or the hair. After removing my make-up, I kind of soak myself in it.”

Ask her about her fitness regime, and the once size-zero diva shares her new health mantra, “These days I walk to maintain my figure – I try to cover seven kilometres of brisk walking daily. I wish there was outdoor walking in India, but when I’m abroad I make it a point to soak in the outdoors.”

As for her upcoming flick ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ with actor Salman Khan that’s set for a an Eid release in 2015, Kareena will be seen in desi looks as a girl from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk. The surprise element? “I’m going to sport a nose ring throughout the film this time,” she lets out.

Designer Urvashi Kaur launched her spring/summer 2015 collection ‘Ziran’ at Neel Sutra-the concept fashion store at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, recently. The range of cotton and denim dresses, saris, tops, tunics and salwars featuring techniques like shibori, block printing, ruching, hand-tucking, batik and tie and dye were displayed in style.

Actress Tisca Chopra attended the do in smart sari from the new collection, with a checked obistyle belt in blue and white. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has announced the result of its Board Elections 2014, which includes quite a few luminaries of the fashion fraternity.

The elected Fellow Members comprise eight designers including David Abraham, Rohit Bal, J.J. Valaya, Ashish Soni, Rohit Gandhi and Anju Modi. Meanwhile the elected Associate Members comprise eight more designers including Pankaj Ahuja, Gaurav Gupta, Aneeth Arora, Poonam Bhagat and Samant Chauhan, among others.

This Governing Board of the Council will hold power for the coming three years and will represents around 450 designers from across the country. Together, it will takes all major decisions of the FDCI along with the President of the FDCI, including newprojects to be undertaken, investments and ventures. With the glowing names on board, the FDCI will certainly go from strength to strength in the coming years.
