SYDNEY, December 30 – Another Australian teenager has been attacked and killed in a shark attack, Xinhua news agency reported. Jay Muscat, 17, was spear fishing on Monday with a friend in waters near Western Australian town of Albany in the south of the state when a white pointer mauled his leg. The shark then approached his friend but did not attack him.
It was the 15th shark attack in Western Australia since 2010 of which 10 were fatal cases.The latest attack came two weeks after the fatal savaging of a young man on the other side of country.
The leg, groin and arm of 18-year-old Daniel Smith were mauled while he was spear fishing off the world renowned tourist town of Port Douglas in Queensland.
