PASIR GUDANG, March 6- Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin(Pic) has described the manifesto unveiled by the opposition as an act of deception against the people for making grandiose promises that could cause the country to suffer an eight per cent deficit.
“We have studied the opposition’s manifesto. While we try to maintain a four per cent deficit, the opposition’s deficit can reach up to eight per cent,” he said when launching the state-level 1Malaysia Blue Wave People’s Gathering at the Pasir Gudang Indoor Stadium here, today.
He said the deficit could cause the country to experience severe financial problems resulting in foreign investors losing confidence in the country while the World Bank would label Malaysia a bankrupt country.
Hence, he urged Barisan Nasional members and supporters to enhance their cooperation, bury the hatchet, raise their spirit, and support the candidates nominated to ensure that the opposition would be dealt a heavy blow in the 13th general election.
