KOTA KINABALU, March 6 – Sabah Wanita Umno leaders have slammed Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Tian Chua for saying that the Lahad Datu intrusion was orchestrated by Umno. They regarded the statement as disrespectful for the sacrifices of members of security forces killed in the intrusion by armed foreign groups.
Kota Kinabalu Wanita Umno division chief Rosimah Zakaria today lodged a police report over the statement at Karamunsing police station, near here today.
“Kota Kinabalu Wanita Umno calls on the government to take stern action against Tian Chua(Pic) for saying the intrusion was orchestrated by Umno. This is not a joke but a tragedy,” she said after making the police report.
Rosimah said Tian Chua’s belittling of sacrifices made by members of security forces showed his inhumane attitude. Kota Kinabalu Wanita Umno also slammed Jonathan Lin who in his Facebook described the two policemen killed in Lahad Datu as “Umno dogs.”
“Malaysians, especially the people of Sabah must not be influenced by elements that incite and lie to destroy the harmony,” she added. Putatan Wanita Umno division chief Juriah Palasin also lodged a police report against Tian Chua at Putatan police station today.
She demanded Tian Chua to apologise to security forces for claiming that the death of the two police officers were orchestrated by Umno to distract and scare the people. Juriah said Tian Chua’s claim was baseless and disrespectful to the
sacrifices of members of security forces, especially the two police officers killed.
