PUTRAJAYA, March 7 – Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor(pic) today extended her deepest condolences and sympathy to the widows and families of policemen killed and injured in the intrusion tragedy in Lahad Datu
and Semporna, Sabah.
Rosmah, who is the patron of the Malaysian Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita), said the association strongly opposed the intruders’ act, which was deemed as brutal.
“My heart breaks just thinking about the wives who lost their husbands, children who lost their fathers and parents who lost their beloved sons.
“We truly appreciate the deeds and contributions made by these young men who have defended the country till the last drop of their blood,” she said when opening the 31st Puspanita annual general meeting at Puspanitapuri here today. Present were Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa and Puspanita president Datin Seri Rohani Abdullah.
Rosmah said her husband, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, had also flown to Lahad Datu this morning to give his support for the people in the constituency.
“He said as the country’s leader, he must go to the ground to pacify our people there, she said. Puspanita also presented RM20,000 to help the families involved.
