Kuala Lumpur – Rajnikanth’s much awaited “Kabali” is already creating waves and is set to break several records. The movie has already garnered highest hits for an Indian Movie teaser on you tube.
In Malaysia, the movie will be released simultaneously dubbed in Bahasa Malaysia, a first for a Tamil movie. The movie’s distributors for Malaysia Malik Streams Corporation has posted the Malay version of Kabali’s teaser on their facebook page and within a week the teaser has received a whopping 239,000 views.
If Kabali succeeds in Malay movie market it will open new markets for Tamil movies in Malaysia. Even Hindi movies which have been always popular among Malay fans have not been dubbed in Malay.
If Kabali succeeds, in future Hindi and Tamil movies could be dubbed and released in Malay.
Release of Tamil movies in Malaysia are already contributing millions for the coffers of Kollywood’s movie industry and with the release of Kabali in Malay language, the industry has now found a new revenue stream, which has a huge potential.
Kabali will also be released in Indonesia. All Indian movies released in Indonesia are usually dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia and Kabali is also expected to be dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia. Malik stream has announced that the movie will be released in about 300 theaters in Indonesia. Hindi movies are already very popular in Indonesia and Kabali is also expected to open news doors for Tamil movies in Indonesia.
