The movie’s distributors have listed the proposed theaters through their advertisements in Tamil dailies, which adds up to almost 99. The number of shows have not been announced yet but it is likely to be increased by many folds compared to the usual 3 or 4 shows per day for a Tamil film.
These theaters are only for the Tamil version and the film is also being released simultaneously in Malay and Hindi versions. It is not known yet in how many theaters these two versions will be screened.
All put together, Kabali, with all the 3 language versions combined, could become the first movie to hit the highest number of screens and theaters in Malaysia.
Given the expectations for the movie, it could also end up as one of the highest grosser of all time in Malaysia.
