Chennai – Tamil Nadu Chief Minister suffered a Cardiac arrest yesterday evening and thousands of AIADMK supporters together with the Ministers have gathered at the Appollo hospital.
Further developments are as follows:
- Apollo hospital has issued an official statement.
- The President of India, Pranab Mukerjee, in his twitter message expressed his concern and prayed for her speedy revovery.
- The Director General of Police Rajendran held high-level meetings with top brass police officers on the situation and Tamil Nadu Police have been put on alert.
- All Policemen have been directed to report to duty at 7 a.m. today (Monday)
- The Governor of Tamil Nadu personally visited Apollo Hospital and was briefed by the hospital authorities.
- It is believed that para-military forces have been summoned to arrive in Tamil Nadu.
