SHAH ALAM — The Selangor government is confident the dispute over the relocation of  the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in USJ 25, Subang Jaya near here, will be resolved soon.

Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said the government had received positive feedback from relevant parties, including the temple management and developer One City Development Sdn Bhd to resolve the matter.

“Actually, I have held two, three meetings (with the temple management and developer) on the issue and the response was very positive . In one or two weeks, Insha-Allah, we can get to know the outcome,” he told reporters at the State Assembly lobby here today.

He was asked on a meeting between the temple management and the developer tomorrow to resolve the issue, which he said would be a close-door meeting.

Last Thursday, Amirudin had said that the temple would not be demolished or relocated until a solution was found to resolve the matter and that the state government was prepared to be the mediator for discussions between the land developer and the temple.
