jassimDOHA, April 2 – Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani(pic) said Qatar is seeking to establish joint projects and to contribute to international projects including natural gas transport networks across the Middle East to south, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Addressing the inaugural session of the Doha Energy Forum, Sheikh Hamad said the move stemmed for Qatar awareness of the importance of the variables in the international energy sector in order to preserve the economic value of this commodity.

“Qatar will press ahead with its firm policy that aimed to enable developing and least developed countries to contribute to the global economy effectively, to strength and enable them to develop their industrial and technological potentials, and to contribute positively to the creation of a fair and balanced global economy, Sheikh Hamad said.

He called on members and non-members of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to coordinate positions with consuming countries away from geopolitical factors, which affect the prices and volumes of production,
and to have a vision for the future of oil and gas in the shadow of the expected developments and prospects.

Sheikh Hamad pointed out that issues tabled for discussion at the Doha Energy Forum are considered as important and pressing topics that have imposed themselves in economics and politics as they relate to the energy that has always been the main driver of development and progress.
