SHAH ALAM: Selangor police chief Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin says there were no brake marks found at the crash site of a bus which plunged into a drain near the MASKargo area in Sepang, near here, last night.
“Early checks did not reveal any signs of braking at the scene. Further investigations are underway to determine whether the bus driver was on drugs or sleepy when the accident occurred.
“Updates on this case will be issued from time to time,” he told reporters when met at the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters here today.
Ten foreign workers and a 43-year-old local bus driver were killed in the crash at 11.10 pm.
An initial investigation by the police found that the bus was carrying 43 MASKargo contract workers – all foreigners – from their hostel in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, to their work place when the crash occurred.
