Putra Jaya – “As we celebrate the achievements of our workers, let us also as Malaysians celebrate the diversity of this nation and acknowledge the importance of unity for this country. In paying tribute to the millions of Malaysians in the workforce, unity and harmony between the various races and religions should always be valued, for all to share the peace and prosperity of this blessed nation” Minister in Prime Minister’s department P.Waythamoorthy said in his labour day message.
“We, Malaysians must reject those intent on playing up racial and religious issues, and show that we stand united against acts of incitement and provocation. Let us not allow undesirable elements to tear the multi-racial, multi-cultural, and multi-ethnic social fabric of this nation, which has been built over time” Waythamoorthy further noted in his message.
“We should continually strive to respect and understand each other better, to avoid undesirable elements from using the race and religion card for their selfish gains. I wish all Workers in Malaysia and worldwide, Happy Labour Day” Waythamoorthy said.
