KUALA LUMPUR, June 5- Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr Marty Natalegawa (photo) regards the bilateral ties between Malaysia and Indonesia as being at its best.
He described the Malaysia-Indonesia relations as dynamic and positive because it involved numerous levels of societies from both countries.
“The Malaysia-Indonesia relations is not only at the level of the leaders but also involves businessmen and societies in both countries.
“There is interest to foster the good relations by solving all problems which arise, and all differences of opinions in an amiable manner,” he said.
Marty was speaking to reporters after delivering a speech entitled, ‘Garuda Rising: Indonesia’s Place in Asean and Beyond’ at the 27th Asia Pacific Roundtable Conference here today.
He was also happy to note that his Malaysian counterpart, Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, was again picked foreign minister after the 13th General Election.
He said he held a discussion with Anifah on the sidelines of the conference on how to further enhance the bilateral relations between both countries, which among others, touched on border issues, labour and resources.
