KUALA LUMPUR, June 12- Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan (photo) has expressed regret over the failure of opposition members of Parliament to attend a parliamentary official briefing, here, today.
According to Ahmad, only one out of the 89 opposition lawmakers attended the briefing.
“The aim of the briefing is good as the Parliament E-book or E-buku containing information on how to be a complete parliamentarian was also launched,” he told reporters during his visit to Bank Negara, here.
“They (opposition MPs) should not do this. If they don’t attend the Dewan Rakyat sitting for six months in a stretch, we can hold by-elections in the 89 constituencies they represent,” he said.
