KOTA BAHARU, Feb 6 — PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa (pic) has described former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa’s call for the party to leave the opposition pact as out of place. Husam said Nasharudin’s views were no longer relevant for he was no longer a member of the PAS Ulama Syura Council.
“His views will be given due attention if he is still a Syura Council member. Ustaz Nasha can appeal against his dismissal from the Syura Council if it he wants to come back,” Husam told reporters after attending the state executive council meeting here today.
Nasharudin, who was sacked from the Syura Council on Jan 13, urged PAS to leave the opposition and be on its own if it wanted to remain relevant as a party fighting for the Islamic cause.
Meanwhile, Husam proposed to Umno to let Nasharudin defend the Bachok parliamentary seat or contest another seat on the Barisan Nasional ticket in the next general election for his inclination in supporting the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s leadership of late.
