KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13- Panasonic Malaysia has no intention to increase prices of its products despite the hike in fuel price.
General Manager Seelan Kandasamy, however, said should fuel price goes up further, there may be an increase in prices of Panasonic products.
“We’ve no intention to increase our prices now to safeguard the parties involved,” he said at the launch of a Panasonic product on Thursday.
Panasonic Malaysia has a 52 per cent market share for electrical and consumer products in Malaysia.
The government announced a 20 sen hike in petrol and diesel prices on Sept 3 as part of the fuel subsidy rationalisation measure.
Panasonic today launched a new line of Panasonic System and Communication Next G Solution comprising a business communication server, Pure IP PBX system, DECT phone series and HD visual communications system.
The launching is the follow-up of the business innovation group campaign that was launched last year.
The campaign emphasises on providing one-stop solution for its customers.
