Manila, April 30 – Photo shows Filipino migrant recruiter Maria Kristine Sergio appearing yesterday at a press conference inside a police headquarters in Quezon city, east of Manila, Philippines.
Maria Kristine Sergio turned herself in to police to seek protection from death threats and also seeking legal assistance against human trafficking charges.
The development prompted Indonesia’s attorney general to stay Mary Jane Veloso’s (One of the Bali Nine convicts) execution at the last minute to allow her to testify against Sergio and other suspects who allegedly duped her into becoming a drug mule.
