Kuala Lumpur – The cordial relationship enjoyed between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and legendary film actor Rajnikanth is well known. Rajni is said to be an ardent supporter of Modi and admires his leadership style.
In the past there have speculations that the Barathiya Janatha Party was trying to woo Rajni to join the party and lead the Tamil Nadu state politics. However, so far Rajni has refused to join any political parties.
During the Indian General Elections last year Modi, during his campaign rounds in Tamil Nadu, took the unprecedented move to go Rajni’s house in Chennai to meet the Super Star personally. Needless to say, the meeting gave tremendous boost to Modi among Tamil Nadu voters and Rajni fans.

Modi must have been aware that Rajni is in Kuala Lumpur to shoot for his next movie “Kabali”. Despite his busy schedule there is a possibility that Modi will invite Rajni to meet him for a brief chat or alternatively, there is a possibility of Modi inviting Rajni for one of his public gatherings.
However, it is unlikely that Rajni will attend any of Modi’s public gatherings for two reasons. One, he may not want to steal the thunder from Modi who is visiting Kuala Lumpur for the first time as Prime Minister. If Rajni attends the public gatherings the focus of attention will shift to him and may divert Modi’s political agenda.
Next, Malaysian Police and Indian Security forces following Modi’s Malaysian visit may reject the idea of Rajni attending Modi’s public gathering as it may pose serious security threats as the crowds could become uncontrollable. Rajni is already attracting thousands of fans wherever he goes in Malaysia.
A source close to the Kabali film crew said there is a possibility Rajni may take a break from his film shoot to pay a courtesy visit to Modi in Kuala Lumpur.
So, let’s see whether the Indian film fraternity’s super star meets the Indian political super star Narendra Modi in Kuala Lumpur?
