He has teamed up with her in his forthcoming Tamil crime-thriller Vathikuchi. “She (Anjali) is one of the few actresses who can effortlessly play her character on screen.
The confidence with which she shoulders her character proves her ability to be a natural actress,” Kinslin told IANS. The actress’ character has different shades in the movie. “She plays a rural girl Meena who comes to Chennai in search of a career. In Chennai, she calls herself Leena and begins to imitate the urban lifestyle.
While as the rural character she is timid and docile, as Leena she is exactly the opposite,” said the director. Known for giving out hits like Engaeyum Eppothum, Kalakalappu and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Anjali is paired with newcomer Dhileban in the film.
