KUALA LUMPUR : The following are the latest updates on the SRC case on which the High Court is set to deliver its verdict in the case of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who has been tried on seven charges of misappropriating RM42 million in SRC International Sdn Bhd funds.
- Ex-PM Najib arrived at about 9.30 am at KL Courts Complex.
- Umno president Zahid Hamidi; deputy president Mohamad Hasan; sec-gen Ahmad Maslan present at KL Courts Complex.
- Prosecution team led by ad hoc prosecutor V. Sithambaram enters courtroom at about 9.30 am.
- Ex-PM Najib enters courtroom at 9.57 am.
- SRC CASE VERDICT: Head of defence team Muhammad Shafee Abdullah enters courtroom.
- Judge Mohd Nazlan begins reading out judgement at 10.20 am.
- Judge Mohd Nazlan states defence had not succeeded in the matter of the balance of probabilities in raising a reasonable doubt in the prosecution’s case on the abuse of position charge.
