Kuala Lumpur – Following his statement on the PAS-UMNO alliance and his attacks on MIC President Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam several MIC leaders have slammed Penang’s Deputy Chief Minister Prof Dr P.Ramasamy.

Maniam R.S.DatoMIC Kota Raja Division Chairman from Selangor, Dato R.S.Maniam in a statement released yesterday said: “It is very amusing that till this moment, DAP is a key partner with PAS in the Selangor state government but Ramasamy has the audacity and arrogance to attack MIC on its stand on a potential electoral alliance between UMNO and PAS. Ramasamy should do the right thing by ensuring DAP walks out of the partnership with PAS in the Selangor state government. He should do just that if at all he has any influence in DAP. He cannot and will not be able to do it because he is just a delivery man for Indian votes for DAP’s exclusive Chinese agenda”.

“It is also very amazing that an educationist like Ramasamy could put forward political commentary of his own assuming that Indian community is politically dumb and to interpret political developments in the country more specifically on the collapse of the opposition pact”  R.S.Maniam further said.

“During the last two general elections when PAS was a key component of Pakatan’s electoral victory it was all justified and politically right to be with PAS for Ramasamy. PAS witnessed DAP’s growing hegemony within Pakatan which was evidently revealed in the failed Kajang Move and consequently the Selangor Menteri Besar crisis. When PAS decided to take DAP head on, Ramasamy’s DAP engineered the breakup of PAS to strengthen its control over the opposition grouping” pointed out R.S.Maniam.

RAMASAMY“Ramasamy is nothing but a token to showcase DAP’s multi racial projection. Without the lifeline of Lim Guan Eng, Ramasamy has no say or stake in DAP. He is just s poster-boy enjoying a decorative, powerless post of Deputy Chief Minister 2 at the grace of the all-powerful Chief Minister of Penang. In exchange Ramasamy is to deliver Indian votes by attacking MIC. Ramasamy’s delivery to the Penang Indian community is a betrayal of trust and nothing but politics of venom to ensure spinning of hatred towards MIC. In the recent DAP party elections it was very evident that DAP is still a Chinese race dominated party strongly aligned to spear head Chinese community’s political interest in the country. The stake holders of DAP are clearly the Chinese community. There is no Indian agenda there, it’s only Ramasamy’s personal agenda. Without attacking MIC it looks like Ramasamy has no other job. It is very funny that we see Ramasamy getting to the press only for his remarks on MIC” commented Maniam.

“For all venom that Ramasamy spits, MIC as any political party with a long history has the strength and drive to correct its course and move ahead. As a party, MIC is now ready to take on future challenges and definitely a weak leader like Ramasamy is not at all a threat to us. Ramasamy for that matter may not even be in DAP if he is dropped from his state seat in the next general elections which is also very likely. In such an instance while Ramasamy goes into political oblivion enjoying his pension, MIC shall continue to be the voice of the Indians in Malaysia. Ramasamy should not think Indians are dumb” concluded R.S. Maniam.
