Kuala Lumpur, August 28 – last week Saturday at the Temple of Fine Arts Kuala Lumpur Guru Smt Sandhya Manoj had presented debut ‘taca Maha Vidya’ Odissi Dance.
In this case, Thanesh Balakrishnan, The founder of Tinakaran Fine Arts Academy had written his review on her dance in his vision of poets.

“Srimati Sandhya Manoj had presented ‘taca Maha Vidya’ Odissi Dance which still occupy fresh in my mind.”
The worship of mother shakti as a divine mother. Parvathi is the consort of Lord Shiva, Lakhsmi is the consort of Lords Mahavishu and Saraswthi is consort of Brahma. Goddess is worshipped by several other names like Maheswari, Kaumari, Varahi, Vaishnavi, Chamundi, Durga,Kali, Bhuvaneswari, Mathangi, Lalitha, Annapurani, Uma, Chandi, Durga, Bhavani, Shakti, Jagadamba, Ishwari, Shyamala. Rajarajeswari, Kalyani.
The special feature of this dancer is, the entire piece of her dance choreograph it was fully controlled by her from the head to the toe and she is multi-talented person who can bring “Dasa Maha Vidya” to your heart and cooled your eyes.
From her dance, I can sensed that she had vast knowledge on Nritta, Nritya and Natya. Nritta which is a pure dance without any emotions, expressions or sahityam. She able to use all emotions, expressions thru shown by the hastas clearly to the audience.
She also mesmerized the viewer to cover not only the mind, but takes you to the very delicate nature of the Performer. An essential feature of the breaking of the dance scenes in the the performance is ‘Shringaram’.
Dasa Maha Vidya means the 10 Mahavidyas. Maha-Vidya means great knowledge. The Mahavidyas are thus ten insights covered by ten mystereied about 10 essential energies, that are also 10 goddesses. Their worship is a main path in Tantra Yoga. She had brought us to different event occurring in the universe in ten different power levels.
From her dance we understood that through the art of dance with the universe, our body also consist of the ten types of energy through her dancing.
