KUALA LUMPUR-  Pos Malaysia’s Wildflowers stamp series is making a comeback, entitled ‘Wildflowers Series 3’, after almost three decades since its last issue in 1993.

Its Group Head of Marketing, Schrene Goh said the collection will be available starting today via Pos Malaysia’s online store at www.eziemall.com and all post offices nationwide.

She said, for the third series, Pos Malaysia is highlighting new species of wildflowers, showcasing Malaysia’s natural wonders.

“The stamp series, with three sheetlets and designs, comprises 10 stamps each that feature the Senduduk, Ara Songsang and Bunga Kancing Baju flowers.

“A total of 750,000 pieces of the stamps will be produced in 60 sen, RM1.30 and RM1.50 denominations,” she said in a statement today.

To complement the series, Pos Malaysia is also producing 20,000 Miniature Sheet (MS), printed with a die-cut and spot UV finishing to accentuate the beauty of the Simpoh Air flower.

The MS will be available for purchase at RM5.00 per piece.

A total of 27,000 copies of First Day Covers (FDC) are also available for purchase at 50 sen each, she said.

“The complete folder set can be purchased at RM54.40 comprising three stamp sheets with 10 perforated stamps, one loose MS, one FDC with three stamps and one FDC with an MS as well with a folder. Folders are also available separately at RM6.00 apiece (only 1,500 folders available).

“For avid collectors, this series comes with an exclusive cancellation mark featuring another wildflower, Dandelion, completing the aesthetics of the collection,” she added.

Meanwhile, in view of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period, Pos Malaysia has announced to extend the cancellation period for three working days starting from July 9, for customers to obtain their FDC and cancellation mark.
